TI 100 events
2010 is a very important year in the Institute’s calendar, turning 100 means that throughout the year, throughout the world the Institute and its very active membership will be organising events.
If you’re staying at home or travelling overseas don’t forget to check the website to see what is happening wherever you are.
International Sustainability Student Design Competition
The TI invites students worldwide, to take part in designing a Furoshiki (an ingenious traditional Japanese carrying/wrapping square) for our world conference. This year’s conference celebrates 100 years of The Textile Institute in its founding city of Manchester, UK.
This is design with sustainability in mind, as it is to be printed on ethically sourced fabric, with the winning submission to be handed out to each delegate on arrival as a keepsake from this prestigious and historically significant event.
Entries must be submitted before 17 September 2010, entries received after this date will not be considered.
