Papers from industry and academia are invited

The Centenary World Conference forms part of the Centenary Celebrations of The Textile Institute – TI 100 and will provide an excellent platform for discussion and networking.

The Centenary World Conference of The Textile Institute will be the leading ‘must attend’ international conference in 2010, drawing together presentations from industry and education providing a chance to meet old friends and new as well as a platform for information exchange and networking.

The guiding theme for the conference will be ‘creating a global vision for textiles, clothing and footwear’.

Areas to be highlighted include the following:

• Education and Training
• Retail
• Innovative Materials
• Smart Materials and Wearable Technology
• Sustainability
• Manufacturing Processes
• Quality Control, Testing and Evaluation, and Performance
• Technical Textiles

Papers on relevant topics outside the above areas will also be considered.

Submission of Abstracts for Oral and Poster Presentations
Titles for proposed papers, with a 200 word abstract / synopsis, should be submitted no later than 30 April 2010. Submissions received after this date will not be given primary consideration. Abstracts should be submitted electronically in MS word format and sent by email to the conference organisers: papers@tiworldconference.org

Papers will be accepted from the author(s) on the basis of attending the conference at the appropriate delegate rate.
